Welcome to JennSays. I’m Jenn Mattern - a 20-something, self-employed, sometimes sweet, sometimes snarky woman with strong opinions, varied tastes, and an often big mouth.
This is where I take a break from my typical niche blogging to talk about the things that make life worth living, and the things that make me wonder why I even bother. You may agree with a lot of the things I say, or I may rub you the wrong way. Or maybe - just maybe, I’ll get you to think about something in a new or different way or introduce you to something you’ll love at least once. I can only hope.

Life - I’ll be sharing general observations, both good and bad, about things in the news or things I happen to observe while going about my daily life. I’ll also share tips and ideas to make day-to-day living a little easier or more enjoyable. You’ll also hear about some of my not-so-pleasant thoughts on daily life, whether it’s an awful customer service experience or general stupidity I have the “pleasure” of witnessing.
Love - I’ll talk about my love life, or lack thereof, from time to time (not in too much detail of course), as well as sharing some more general musings on men, love, and relationships.
Work - I work from home in online PR and freelance writing, and I love it. I’ll share stories of success and frustration in my writing and other work, as well as talk about some of the ups and downs of working for yourself.
Play - I don’t make enough time for “play.” But when I do, I’ll share it with you here, from talking about a movie I’ve just seen to bands I think you should check out.
Stuff - I’ve been known to be a bit critical on other blogs I run when reviewing something. And don’t get me wrong - if something ruffles my feathers, I won’t hesitate to rant about it here. But for the most part, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite products, services, and even websites with you - fun stuff, useful stuff, or just plain old good stuff.
